There's a potential rift building between the Green Bay Packers Executive Committee and its board of directors over the search for the team's next president and chief executive officer.

Interviews this week with sources in the NFL, the Packers organization and the Green Bay community suggest a significant portion of the team's 45-person board of directors is concerned about the type of candidate the team's search committee will recommend, as well as the possible diminution of Chairman Bob Harlan's role as an adviser in the selection process.
