Grant will do offseason workouts but won't sign minimum tender

Ryan Grant will work with the Green Bay Packers in the offseason without a contract, but to get him to training camp the Packers will have to sign him to a contract well above the NFL minimum for a second-year pro.

Grant, who rose from the bottom of the Packers' depth chart to become one of the NFL's most productive runners in the second half of last season, has not signed a contract but nevertheless is taking part in the team's offseason workout program, which started Monday.

His agent, Alan Herman, said Grant will take part in all the team's minicamps and workouts this spring, but that he will not ...
