Gas prices below $2 in Green Bay area

Motorists found that gas has dropped below $2 a gallon on Sunday at several stations in the Green Bay area.

The last time the state average for a gallon of gas was below $2 was in February 2005, AAA Wisconsin said.

A gallon of regular unleaded Sunday was $1.999 at Shell, 2275 Shawano Ave., Howard, and Marathon, 610 E. Walnut St., Green Bay.

Gas has dropped more than $2 since recording a statewide average high of $4.20 on July 16.
