Following is a scouting report on the Detroit Lions (2-10) based on interviews with coaches and scouts who have studied them recently:

Run offense: The Lions are No. 28 in the NFL in rushing yards per game and No. 27 in average yards per carry in coordinator Scott Linehan's offense. They're average on the offensive line, where the best player probably has been left guard Rob Sims, who was picked up last April in a trade with Seattle, and the weak link is right guard Stephen Peterman.
