Johnny Jolly's latest legal troubles produced bewilderment and derision in some circles, but for me the news of his arrest on Friday was greeted with sadness.

It's sad that Jolly, the Green Bay Packers' defensive end who possesses enormous talent, would be so willing to flush his future down the drain.

It wasn't enough that Jolly forfeited $2.5 million in 2010 salary due to his NFL suspension. It wasn't enough that he blew a chance to be part of a Super Bowl championship team. It wasn't enough that when he absolutely needed to be on his best behavior in order to receive a second chance, he couldn't ...
