Nick Barnett's status with the Green Bay Packers remains very much up in the air.
The veteran starting inside linebacker, who missed most of last season because of a wrist injury, seems unlikely to return after the Packers gave long-term contracts to Desmond Bishop and A.J. Hawk, who finished the Super Bowl season as the starters on the inside.
But any resolution to the Barnett situation - just like any other player transactions - will have to wait until the lockout is over and a new collective bargaining agreement is in place.
That made for an awkward moment at yesterday's UCLA pro day, according to a story in the Los Angeles Times.
