The Green Bay Packers won the Super Bowl last season with 15 players on injured reserve, including six starters.

Conventional wisdom suggests their roster will be loaded in 2011 when those fallen players return. But that won't change General Manager Ted Thompson's stance on the importance of the draft, which begins in 18 days.

The Packers own nine draft choices, including the No. 32 overall selection in the first round. Thompson, as always, will be looking to bolster his team, even though as the reigning champion the Packers must select at the end of each round. ...
