Highlights from Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers talking about fourth-round draft pick Davon House:

*We like his skill set. Has height, weight and speed that we look for. Canít ever have enough corner type guys that can go out and cover. Fortunate to have Sam Shields surface last year. Think Davon has type of skill set we look for.

*Getting antsy not drafting defensive players in first 3 rounds? You never know in draft how things are going to fall. You take guys who can take the team. Weíve gotten 3 very good offensive prospects.

*We press a lot with our cornerbacks. He can play outside and inside. Woodson has been primary guy we move inside with 5 DBs. We like guys that are versatile because we move our guys around a lot.

*The progress is you can bring guy in and put him outside, then you make a decision whether you will ask him to also play inside.

*Hard to say if House is farther along than Shields or Underwood when they came here. Shields was raw but had physical tools. Through playing he progressively got better.

*We think he has good ball skills. Think heíll fit in with skill set of our DBs. We have DBs that can take the ball away.

*I feel better about options at OLB than at this time last year when we stood up here. We didnít know anything about Zombo and Walden, knew Brad Jones started second half of season in 2009. Looking back, Zombo plays close to 600 plays for us. Have lot more confidence in Frank now than when we first started. Got better as season went along. Heíll be head and shoulders above where he was. Weíll have good competition for spot opposite Clay Matthews.

*At end position, we had C.J. Wilson, who we took in 7th round, is guy that made tremendous strides through course of year. Mike Neal, we like his ability to move forward. heís still making transition. Has things we look for in size and strength. Ryan Pickett and Howard Green and Raji, nobody had bigger front than with those 3 guys. They give us flexibility.

*House is strong enough and will tackle. One of greatest strides Tramon Williams made this year was he was much better tackler than he was year before. Thatís an area you will see Sam Shields make progress. Hard to play corner if you canít tackle.

*I havenít spoken to Woodson, but everything I hear is heís on schedule after his Super Bowl injury.

*we have outstanding offseason program with coach McCarthy. itís been excellent and enabled young players to pick uip system. When we get opportunity to get together weíll start that process.
