Ahman Green, the leading rusher in Green Bay Packers' history, announced his retirement in a press conference at Lambeau Field on Thursday.

Green gained 8,322 yards on 1,851 carries, both team records, in eight seasons with the Packers, from 2000 to 2006 and in 2009. He surpassed Jim Taylor, who had 8,207 yards on 1,811 carries, during the 2009 season.

The 6-foot, 217-pounder from the University of Nebraska led the Packers in rushing a record six times, from 2000 to 2004 and in 2006. ...
