Packers RB Ryan Grant cleared for practice

Ryan Grant has been cleared and will likely practice on Wednesday, said Packers coach Mike McCarthy at his Monday press conference. Grant suffered a kidney bruise a week ago against the Chicago Bears and didn't play against Denver yesterday. Other highlights from McCarthy's press conference: *Donald Driver should be fine. He isn't in danger of not playing on Sunday vs. Atlanta. *I don't pay attention to the Lions. My focus is on the Packers. *Must look for indicators to make sure you're headed in right direction. How you react and handle adversity and success, keeping football team headed down the road. We've done number of studies on handling success. Mike Eayers presented a study. It comes with different levels, not just winning Super Bowl. It's handling day to day, week to week, improving quality of play. Studies can go from Fortune 500 companies to a lot of different directions. Use power point presentations. *Very happy for Jordy Nelson personally on his new contract. He's earned everything he has accomplished to this point. Looking forward to many years to come with Nelson. Very happy that his contract is done. *Business part of football is always a challenge. Thats' really focus of Ted Thompson and Russ Ball. We stick to football side of it. We have daily conversations with management about players, contracts, etc. How coaching staff feels about players is ongoing discussions. From that financial piece is put together. Otherwise, coaches coach. *Pass protection right now is a plus. Aaron did good job of extending plays. Guards helped tackles. Was happy with Marshall Newhouse. *General pressure, we're getting better. Lot of slipping yesterday on both sides of ball. Something we need to improve on. Technique wise we need to clean some things up on defense. *I stay in tune with how pass defense is broken down. We played with lead for most part. Definitely things we'll see, based on success people have had against our defense, and that's what we'll prepare for.
