Packers running back James Starks taped a segment for "Around the League Live" on the NFL Network on Friday. Here's the transcript and the link to the video. On what the experience has been like for him in Green Bay: “It’s been very exciting. Being around a great bunch of guys and a great organization who take pride in winning, and having an opportunity to basically go through the same things I experienced last year, it’s a blessing.” On how difficult it was for him to make the NFL and to be a big contributor on offense for the Packers: “Like I said, I’m just blessed. God put me in a great situation here in Green Bay. Even coming from college, having the opportunity being drafted by Green Bay and then all of the things I went during the season with the little hamstring injuries and things like that, to still have an opportunity to come out here and be able to play the game I love is just enough in itself. I’m very blessed and honored to be here.” On his relationship with Ryan Grant: “He’s like my older brother. He tells me a lot of things, we sit back and clown around with each other. We have a great relationship and we wish nothing but the best for each other. It’s a real close relationship.” On the Packers’ passing attack: “We have a lot of talent around this team. That’s why I think we’ve been so successful. When you can go to any receiver or count on any running back, it just opens a variety of weapons. That’s why we’ve been so successful. We’re a team here and at any given time you don’t know who can be a star.” On closing out the game against the Vikings running the ball: “We don’t get those kind of opportunities much. Aaron throwing the ball how he is and moving the ball, you have to make the most out of every opportunity. When the opportunity is thrown my way, I try to make the most of it. I just thank the coaches, the line and everybody that was doing their job blocking, getting body-on-body making it easier for me to be a running back. That’s a total team effort.” On the Chargers defense: “They have a great defense. They don’t give too many big plays up, so I just have to keep pushing my aiming points and run hard. It’s going to be a tough match.”
