The playing status of both of the Green Bay Packers' starting inside linebackers' status is in doubt for next week's game against the New York Giants.

That said, coach Mike McCarthy was fairly optimistic about Desmond Bishop and A.J. Hawk on Friday even though both were unable to finish Thursday's game against the Detroit Lions because of calf strains.

Bishop appeared worse off after the game and was on crutches, but McCarthy said both "have a chance for New York." ...
