Chiefs will go with Orton or Stanzi at QB

The Packers still don't know who they'll be facing at quarterback this week at Kansas City, but they know it won't be Tyler Palko. Romeo Crennel, the Chiefs' interim coach, said today that Kyle Orton will be the starter if his dislocated index finger on his throwing hand is healthy enough for him to play. If not, rookie Ricky Stanzi, a fifth-round draft pick from Iowa, will start instead of Palko, who has started the last four games. The Chiefs acquired Orton off waivers three weeks ago, but he injured his finger in his first appearance, as a backup, two weeks ago against Chicago. Orton couldn't play last week against the New York Jets. He started against the Packers on Oct. 2 while with Denver. "I like Kyle Orton as a quarterback," coach Mike McCarthy said. "Stanzi, we’ll go back to his training film. But playing against Kyle Orton earlier in the year, you might know some of his mannerisms, but he is in a new offense with new personnel."
