Coach Mike McCarthy couldn't say definitively Friday whether James Starks or Brandon Saine would be able to play Sunday at Kansas City.

If neither can play, the Packers may find themselves in a difficult situation at running back.

Unless they activate practice-squad fullback Jon Hoese, a move that would have to be made Saturday, McCarthy would have only two backs - halfback Ryan Grant and fullback John Kuhn - available against the Chiefs. ...
