Gurley's pay raise

The Packers raised practice squad receiver Tori Gurley's salary to the rookie minimum last week after he turned down an offer to sign with the Minnesota Vikings. Though Gurley remains on the practice squad, his salary was bumped to match a rookie who's on the 53-man roster, according to a source with access to NFL Players Association salary information. That means Gurley's weekly paycheck, beginning last week, increased from $5,700 to $22,058. Gurley's base salary on the practice squad was $96,900, while the rookie minimum this season is $375,000. Players are paid in 17-week installments.
