Friday practice report: No Pickett

Nov. 6, 2013

It's starting to look like defensive lineman Ryan Pickett will miss his second straight game because of a concussion. Pickett was nowhere to be seen inside the Don Hutson Center as the Packers were practicing this morning. The only other players who weren't practicing were: receiver Greg Jennings (knee) and rigth tackle Bryan Bulaga (kneecap).  Both have already been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Bears. Left tackle Chad Clifton (back/hamstring) was practicing for the third straight day, although again he appeared to be limited. His return is likely a week away. Running back James Starks,  who missed last Sunday's loss at Kansas City because of an ankle injury, appeared to be running fine. We'll have the full injury report and an update from coach Mike McCarthy after practice at around 12:30 p.m. UPDATE (12:35 p.m.): Here's the full injury report: Desmond Bishop, LB Calf Full Participation Probable Bryan Bulaga, T Knee Out Chad Clifton, T Hamstring/Back Limited Participation Out Howard Green, NT Foot Limited Participation Probable Greg Jennings, WR Knee Out Mike Neal, DE Shoulder Limited Participation Questionable Ryan Pickett, DE Concussion Did Not Participate Out Brandon Saine, RB Concussion Full Participation Probable James Starks, RB Knee/Ankle Full Participation Probable McCarthy on: * DL situtation: It's unfortunate where Ryan is, but we have to be cautious. Hope Neal can go. Hopefully it's not the situation we were in last week with the two running backs. * RB situation: Two running backs in the game is tough duty, so it will be great to have the rotation back. * Wynn/Wilson: I think they're playing fine. They'll be in a situation where they'll have a lot of reps. * Jennings: Will be challenged to play next week vs. Detriot, but I dont think there's any question he'll be ready for the playoffs * Possible snow and cold for Sunday: Snow's fine. We pay attention more to the wind. Im not worried based on the forecast. High in 30s in the day. That's a nice day in Green Bay in December.
