McCarthy: Jennings won't play vs. Lions

Mike McCarthy spent a good deal of time at his press conference today going over injuries. Here’s an update on what he said: *Receiver Greg Jennings (knee) is getting close but will not be ready to play against the Lions on Sunday. *Tackle Bryan Bulaga (knee) is also getting close but won’t practice until probably Friday. The medical staff will make an assessment on his playing status then. *Chad Clifton (hamstring, back) could very well play on Sunday, but it depends on how his practice week goes. He has done a good job of conditioning during his two-month absence from game action. * Ryan Pickett (concussion) has been cleared to play. He was limited today in practice and will be given a full week of practice to prepare for Sunday. *Randall Cobb (groin) is sore and isn’t expected to practice on Thursday. *Jermichael Finley (knee) has a new injury that just cropped up this morning. (Finley said he hurt the knee in the Kansas City game). McCarthy said he had no feeling about Finley’s playing status. (Finley later said it wasn’t that bad and he could likely play against the Lions).
