Packers coach Mike McCarthy said this afternoon at his press conference that he has a contingency plan in place if offensive coordinator Joe Philbin will be out for an extended period of time this week.   Philbin’s son, Michael, has been reported missing since early Sunday morning, and McCarthy said Philbin is in Oshkosh now.   McCarthy said the Packers are supporting Philbin the best they can. He also said the team is prepared to do whatever is necessary as a staff to make sure the Packers are prepared to play on Sunday in their divisional playoff game against the New York Giants. In other highlights from McCarthy’s press conference: *McCarthy didn’t seem affected by some Giants’ players guaranteeing a win in Sunday’s game. What are they supposed to say, that they are going to lose, said McCarthy. We fully expect to win the game and will prepare throughout the week to win the game. * The Giants are very experienced with a lot of veterans on defense, according to McCarthy. The Giants’ defensive line is healthy and will be expected to generate pressure. * He expects the Giants to come in and play the way they want to play. They want to run the football. They have an established QB. They have lot of ways to attack. *The Giants’ defensive line controlled the playoff game against the Falcons yesterday. It was a very impressive win for the Giants, according to McCarthy. It started up front on both sides of the ball. They controlled the line of scrimmage. * No Packers’ injury report will be issued until Wednesday.
