Notebook: Coaching staff shares Philbin's duties

The emotional impact has been hard enough, as evident in how choked up coach Mike McCarthy got during his news conference on Wednesday, but the Green Bay Packers coach also had to figure out how to divide up offensive coordinator Joe Philbin's duties.

Philbin is away from the team while he mourns the death of his 21-year-old son, Michael, who disappeared Sunday and was found Monday after he drowned in the Fox River in Oshkosh. Philbin isn't expected to return this week as the Packers prepare for Sunday's divisional playoff game against the New York Giants at Lambeau Field.
