Football community lauds Rodgers

INDIANAPOLIS - Here are some quotes from others who attended the National Football League Honors ceremony on Saturday... 49ers Hall of Fame QB Steve Young He burps and heís thrown for 60 yards and no one notices it. He throws for 350 and you donít even recognize that he ran for 4 first downs. Heís a guy that defenses are forced to capitulate. I have no answer. Weíll double this guy. Weíll spy on him. With Aaron, he basically gives you no chances. Aaron did things that I just havenít seen for a long time. Lions QB Matt Stafford, who was named Comeback Player of the Year The way he spreads the ball around. Heís taking open guys, not forcing it. He doesnít turn the ball over. Heís obviously more athletic than people really give him credit for. Can really make all the throws. 49ers QB Alex Smith, who was taken No. 1 the same year Rodgers fell to the Packers The guy played the position this year about as well as you can play it. I donít think it gets any better than what he did. Hereís a guy that had the opposite (experience of me), sat in that Green Room how long? Had to sit behind Brett for how many years and wait for his opportunity? Finally gotten it and just taken off. Is playing, obviously, at the highest level ever. Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe Of all the top quarterbacks, he probably moves better than all the rest. He can actually scramble and get a first down. Drew can run. Tom heís a guy that likes to shuffle a little bit, buy some time and throw the ball down the football field. Aaron Rodgers, he didnít have a problem and scrambling and getting 10-15-20 yards. I think his movement is kind of what separates him from the other guys.
