Neither Packers coach Mike McCarthy nor new quarterbacks coach Ben McAdoo wanted to talk about past possibilities Monday. McCarthy, in fact, was annoyed reports recently surfaced that the Packers had blocked McAdoo from interviews with the Buccaneers and Dolphins for open offensive coordinator positions.

Bottom line, McAdoo now coaches the most important position on the Green Bay roster. And the promotion seems to be part of a development plan for the young coach who has been with McCarthy since 2004 at three different organizations. That much is apparent, even if the duo would rather ...
