INDIANAPOLIS – Packers left tackle Chad Clifton will be cut and receiver Donald Driver will have his contract restructured, Yahoo’s Jason Cole reported Friday. Clifton was drafted by the Packers in the second round of the 2000 draft and is due $5.250 million in base salary, a $249,975 roster bonus and $250,000 workout bonus in 2012. The team would slice just under $5.5 million off the cap if Clifton is released. Driver set to make $2.6 million in base salary with a $2.2 million roster bonus and a $200,000 workout bonus. The 13-year veteran questioned if the team would release him after the season, but recently said he would accept a pay cut. Driver is the franchise’s all-time leader in receptions (735) and receiving yards (10,060).
