Nick Collins awaits medical recommendation on neck injury

By Monday, Nick Collins should have a better idea about his future as an NFL player.

After going through a battery of tests in New York this week, the Green Bay Packers safety expects to hear the recommendation of Dr. Frank Cammisa, the New York surgeon who performed the single-fusion surgery on Collins' neck in September after he sustained a career-threatening herniated disc in Week 2 of the 2011 season.

"I think by Monday we'll know something," Collins agent, Alan Herman, said Friday. "I assume we'll know something by Monday." ...
