Still no date set for NFL schedule release

Nov. 6, 2013

With the NFL preseason schedule announced earlier this week, it means the regular-season schedule should be coming soon. All the league will say at this point is that the 2012 schedule will be released “later this month,” but recent history suggests it will be either this Tuesday (April 10) or the following Tuesday (April 17). Here’s the release date the last four years: 2011: Tuesday, April 19 2010: Tuesday, April 20 2009: Tuesday, April 14 2008: Tuesday, April 15 Not sure what the significance of a Tuesday release is, but the league is unlikely to announce it the week of the draft, which is April 26-28. Of course, all of the Packers’ 2012 opponents are already known. The only thing left to be determined are the dates. The home games are: Chicago, Detroit, Minnesota, Arizona, San Francisco, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Tennessee. The road games are: Chicago, Detroit, Minnesota, St. Louis, Seattle, New York Giants, Houston, Indianapolis.
