Packers out of the mix for Tollefson

The Packers are no longer in the mix for free-agent pass rusher Dave Tollefson, according to an NFL source. Originally a seventh-round pick of the Packers in 2006, they were interested in bringing him back to boost their pass rush. As a defensive end, Tollefson had five sacks last season for the New York Giants, where he played the last five seasons. The Packers were considering Tollefson as an outside linebacker. He visited Green Bay on March 29-30, but it was unclear if the Packers ever made an offer. After his visit with the Packers, he also visited Seattle and Oakland. He has yet to sign a contract, however, the source said today that the Packers were no longer in the mix.
