Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers appeared on Jim Rome’s new show on CBS Sports Network and among the topics discussed was the fact that Rodgers was one of the New Orleans’ Saints targets in their bounty scandal. It’s believed to be the first public comments Rodgers has made on the issue. “I was very surprised,” Rodgers said in the interview which took place remotely from Lambeau Field, which means Rodgers is in town for the Packers offseason program that began Monday. “I had heard of some kind of performance (incentive) stuff in the past, but I was surprised there was pay for intentional injuries. That’s not good for the league, obviously.” Among other topics discussed during the short interview were the Packers’ 2012 schedule and how the defense must improve this season. The entire interview is available here.
