It will be a busy week around Lambeau Field in late July. The Packers will hold their annual shareholders meeting on Tuesday, July 24 at 9:30 a.m., the team announced today. It will take place inside Lambeau Field on 9:30 a.m., rain or shine. Training camp will start on start on July 26 with players reporting on July 25, the team also announced today. This will be the first shareholders meeting since the team's most recent stock sale in which about 250,000 new shares were purchased. “We’re looking forward to welcoming many of our new shareholders to Lambeau Field for their first Annual Meeting this summer,” Packers President/CEO Mark Murphy said in a statement. “The expansion of the stadium will provide a dramatic backdrop for the meeting. I’m excited for the shareholders to see the progress of the work and the importance of their contributions.” Because of all the new shareholders, no guests will be allowed at this year's meeting. In the past, a shareholder could bring up to four guests. “We want to make sure we have the ability to welcome the shareholders who plan to come, and this will help us accommodate the increased attendance,” Murphy said. “These next couple years will see us transition to our much larger ownership group. After we see our attendance patterns for a year or two, we’ll be able to reevaluate the guest aspect for future meetings.” More information about the annual meeting can be found in this section on the team's official website.
