In 1967, the NFL draft came out of hiding, and the Green Bay Packers finally let the public see inside their draft room.

The war with the rival American Football League had ended with a merger agreement. No longer would NFL teams need to draft players in secret, as they did in 1960, the year they started competing with AFL teams for talent.

The 1967 draft, in which NFL and AFL teams drafted together for the first time, took place on March 14. It was the beginning of the draft's modern era. ...
