The Green Bay Packers went into the NFL draft desperate for pass rushers, and in the first round General Manager Ted Thompson drafted one.

By the time the Packers' pick came up at No. 28 late Thursday night, six pass rushers were off the board, but that also happened to be a position of depth for later in the first round. So that still left USC's Nick Perry and Alabama's Courtney Upshaw, among others, as options to address the Packers' glaring need at outside linebacker, and Thompson went with Perry, who figures to start immediately at right outside linebacker opposite former USC teammate Clay ...
