Raiders hire at least one Packers scout

The Oakland Raiders have reportedly hired one long-time member of the Packers' scouting department. According to multiple reports, including this from ESPN.com, Raiders general manager Reggie McKenize has hired his former Packers' co-worker Shaun Herock. Herock will become the Raiders director of college scouting. Herock just finished his 19th season with the Packers and his 11th at the team's assistant director of college scouting. He also served as a Midwest area scout in addition to his duties as assistant director of college scouting. McKenzie, the former Packers director of football operations, was hired as the Raiders general manager in January. He acknowledged at the NFL annual meetings in March that he would be interested in some of his former co-workers in Green Bay but said he wouldn't "kill your old team in personnel." This is the time of year when scouts change jobs because their contracts typically run through the draft, which concluded on Saturday.
