Draft picks start signing contracts before hitting orientation camp

Some of the Green Bay Packers' rookie draft picks who take the field Friday for the first time as pros will do so with bigger bank accounts.

At least three of the eight players drafted last month completed their contracts by the end of business on Thursday and several others - if not the rest of them - could be done before rookie orientation camp begins with an 11:30 a.m. practice inside the Don Hutson Center.

Second-round pick Jerel Worthy, a defensive end from Michigan State, signed his deal on Thursday evening, according to a league source. That came a few hours after agent Drew Rosenhaus said ...
