USC running back Tyler has moved past TMZ incident

USC running back Marc Tyler would appear to have a decent chance of making the Green Bay Packers, at least as good as it can be considering he’s an undrafted free agent. Before that can happen, Tyler is busy answering the question he’s come to expect by now. The one involving his appearance on TMZ last year, when he was asked if athletes were paid more at USC or in the pros. Tyler, who appeared intoxicated in the video, uttered the line he probably wishes he could have back. “USC,” he said. “They breaking bread.” That comment, and perhaps a few others, got Tyler suspended for USC’s season-opener against Minnesota. It also has led to him being asked about the incident wherever he goes, from California to Wisconsin. “I answered them so many times,” Tyler said. “The answers are stuck in my head. I don’t care about addressing it. I’m past it, but I’ll address it.” Who asks about it the most? “Everybody,” he said, laughing. Tyler rushed for 113 yards in his first game after returning from suspension and finished with 568 yards and four touchdowns on 122 attempts. Along with the Packers, the Oakland Raiders showed strong interest in signing him after he went undrafted. Tyler felt Green Bay was the right fit. “It’s a good opportunity,” he said. - svenci@greenbaypressgazette.com and follow him on Twitter @scottvenci
