Quarless might not be ready for training camp

It doesn’t look like tight end Andrew Quarless will be ready for training camp, according to Packers coach Mike McCarthy.   Quarless suffered a torn ACL in his right knee last December during a regular season game against the New York Giants. McCarthy said he will be "challenged" to return by the start of training camp in late July.   McCarthy also said on Sunday following the Packers’ final rookie orientation camp that Quarless is champing at the bit and is ahead of schedule in his rehabilitation.   The prospects for two other players that were injured last season are better. McCarthy said running back Alex Green “looks great” and tackle Derek Sherrod is “really progressing.” He is hoping both players will be ready by the start of training camp, which opens July 26.   Sherrod broke is leg last December in a game in Kansas City. Green was lost for the year last October when he suffered a knee injury.
