Morning roundup: Newhouse has concussion

Nov. 6, 2013

The Packers had their first practice Sunday night after their Family Night scrimmage on Friday. Among the developments was starting left tackle Marshall Newhouse missing practice because of a concussion sustained Friday night. That injury has exposed potential depth issues on the Packers' offensive line. In the practice Insider, Rob Demovsky notes that first-round draft pick Nick Perry looked good while finally beating tackle Bryan Bulaga in one-on-one pass-rushing drills. Wes Hodkiewicz's notebook leads with receiver Greg Jennings also sustaining a concussion on Family Night and missing practice Sunday. And running back Alex Green's fast recovery from knee-reconstruction surgery has him on track for a significant role early in the season.
