Bruce Arians wants the football field to be the Indianapolis Colts' "safe haven."

Arians, the team's 60-year-old offensive coordinator, was named interim head coach this week after the franchise-rocking announcement Monday that first-year coach Chuck Pagano has leukemia.

Pagano's prognosis appears to be excellent, but he's likely to miss all season, beginning with Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers, while undergoing chemotherapy.
