Morning roundup: Saturday's homecoming Sunday

Nov. 6, 2013

The Packers started their practice week Wednesday for their game this week at Indianapolis, which will be a homecoming for center Jeff Saturday. Saturday, who played for the Colts the last 13 seasons, is expecting some "awkward" feelings when he takes the field at Lucas Oil Stadium for the first time as a member of the visiting team. Rob Demovsky's Packers notebook leads with B.J. Raji feeling fortunate he was fined only $7,800 for throwing a punch at Saints long-snapper Justin Drescher last week. The Colts won't have coach Chuck Pagano probably for the rest of the season after the team revealed this week that he has a highly treatable form of leukemia, and interim coach Bruce Arians is looking for football to be the team's sanctuary as it absorbs the bad news of Pagano's illness, according to a story by Pete Dougherty.
