Statistical look at Packers' 30-27 loss to the Indianapolis Colts

Oct. 8, 2012

Our friends at Pro Football Focus continued to review game film all through the night to pull out some interesting statistics out of the Green Bay Packers’ 30-27 loss to the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

-Marshall Newhouse, Jeff Saturday and Tom Crabtree were each credited with a sack during Sunday’s game, but Aaron Rodgers was allotted two for coverage sacks and holding onto the ball two long. Otherwise, Newhouse graded out well again while Bryan Bulaga continued to struggle after allowing one quarterback hit and three hurries.

- James Jones with more snaps than Nelson (64-62).

-Packers receivers continue to let Rodgers down with drops (four) with one each to Jermichael Finley, Donald Driver, D.J. Williams and Jordy Nelson.

-With B.J. Raji out, CJ Wilson received the most snaps (58) on defensive line.

-A.J. Hawk continues to thrive in the run game with five stops on six tackles.

-In his first game following suspension, Mike Neal played 33 defensive snaps with one sack, one hit and two hurries.

-Tramon Williams produced another exceptional performance with five passes defensed on 16 targets. He was still credited with giving up six catches for 82 yards and a touchdown to Reggie Wayne, but held Donnie Avery in check with only three catches for seven yards.

-Along with Williams, PFF scored the rest of Wayne’s allowed catches to Charles Woodson (2-45), Morgan Burnett (3-44), Casey Hayward (1-12) and Jerron McMillian (1-29).
