Packers' Perry fined $15,000 for hit on Luck

Oct. 10, 2012

Green Bay Packers rookie outside linebacker Nick Perry isnít quite sure what heís supposed to do differently, but the NFL didnít like the way he hit Colts quarterback Andrew Luck on Sunday.

He didnít hit Luck in the head when he sacked him and forced a fumble in the second quarter, but he was penalized for hitting him in the shoulder with the crown of his helmet.

And to make matters worse, he got hit with a $15,000 fine from the league, which he said he intends to appeal.

For now, though, he figures he will have to find a different way to hit opposing quarterbacks.

ďI mean not to get fined, thatís what I have to do,Ē Perry said. ďJust try to change it up a little bit so I wonít get fined next time.Ē
