In November 1995, former Chicago Tribune columnist Bernie Lincicome wrote one of the great NFL one-liners:

"Those underachieving, self-centered, finger-pointing, overpaid Dolphins wouldn't get away with that nonsense if Don Shula were still the coach."

Don Shula, of course, was the Dolphins' coach at the time. Lincicome's funny, biting point was that for whatever reason, Shula wasn't the coach he used to be in his 26th and final season with the team. ...
