First-quarter summary: Packers 10, Rams 3

Oct. 21, 2012

Packers 10, Rams 3
Crosby, 47-yard field goal, 2:17.
Keys: The Packers surprised the Rams on the ensuing kickoff with an onsides attempt, which linebacker Jamari Lattimore recovered after Jarrett Bush blew up Trumaine Johnson to give the Packers the ball in St. Louis territory. Offensively, the Packers didn’t do much, but Randall Cobb had a 19-yard run to set up Crosby’s field goal.
Drive: 6 plays, 19 yards, 3:01.

Packers 7, Rams 3
Jordy Nelson, 3-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers (Mason Crosby kick), 5:23.
Keys: Rodgers found Nelson three times on the drive for 70 yards, including a 52-yard pass on a free play on third-and-three to get to the Ram’s 6-yard line. Two plays later, Rodgers found him in the corner of the end zone with Nelson hauling in the pass over Matthew Daniels for the score.
Drive: 5 plays, 80 yards, 2:15.

Rams 3, Packers 0
Greg Zuerlein, 50-yard field goal, 7:38.
Keys: Starting with good field position, Sam Bradford completed a 14-yard pass to Chris Givens, who beat rookie cornerback Casey Hayward across the middle on third-and-10 to keep the drive moving. Another Bradford short dump off Daryl Richardson set up Zuerlein’s 50-yard effort, which had plenty of distance.
Drive: 7 plays, 23 yards, 3:03.
