Morning roundup: Packers face life without Woodson

Oct. 23, 2012

The Packers will be without the services of defensive back Charles Woodson, who broke the left clavicle in his collar bone against the St. Louis Rams on Sunday.

“He’s obviously an integral part of everything we do,” Packers defensive coordinator Dom Capers said shortly after hearing the news of Woodson’s injury on Monday. “But as we’ve talked about all year, you know on any given play you can lose any player.”

Rob Demovsky writes that the Packers are holding out hope that Woodson can return for the final month of the regular season and plan to keep him on the roster, which currently sits one player short of the full 53. (http://tinyurl.com/9v3hlem)

“He’s a guy that I wouldn’t put anything past in terms of being able to come back,” Capers said.
