Not long ago this kind of injury to Charles Woodson would have devastated the Green Bay Packers.
For instance, if they'd lost him in 2010 for the six weeks or more that they expect after he sustained a broken collarbone on Sunday against St. Louis, the Packers almost surely wouldn't have won the Super Bowl. They'd built their defense around Woodson, and without his playmaking as a blitzer and cover man, they probably wouldn't have qualified for the playoffs let alone gone on a four-game postseason run.
But this year is different. It still might be a stretch to say the Packers won't notice ...
