Jennings might need surgery

Oct. 25, 2012

Coach Mike McCarthy said on his weekly radio spot with Sirius XM radio that receiver Greg Jennings might need surgery.

Jennings has missed the last the last three games and four of the last six because of what the Packers think is a groin injury. However, the injury has been slow to improve, and Jennings sought a second medical opinion this week.

The possibility of surgery (link: http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/10/25/surgery-is-an-option-for-greg-jennings/) suggests Jennings might have a sports hernia, which requires surgery and can take anywhere from three to six weeks for recovery.
