Post-practice update: McMillian has a back injury, Nelson questionable

Nov. 2, 2012

Packers safety Jerron McMillian has a back injury, which was why he didn't participate in practice. He was listed as questionable.

Donald Driver, WR Neck / Thumb Full Participation Probable
Jermichael Finley, TE Shoulder Full Participation Probable
Greg Jennings, WR Groin / Abdomen Out
John Kuhn, FB Hamstring Did Not Participate Out
T.J. Lang, G Elbow / Wrist Full Participation Probable
Mike Neal, DE Ankle Limited Participation Probable
Jordy Nelson, WR Hamstring Did Not Participate Questionable
Nick Perry, LB Knee / Wrist Did Not Participate Out
B.J. Raji, DT Ankle Full Participation Probable
Aaron Rodgers, QB Calf Full Participation Probable
Sam Shields, CB Ankle Did Not Participate Out
Charles Woodson, DB Collarbone Out
Jerel Worthy, DE Concussion Did Not Participate Out

Here's coach Mike McCarthy on:

* Nelson: Game-time decision. His work went well and they pushed him farther then they had.

* McMillian: His back locked up on him last night, was in treatment this morning. I'm hopeful he can go.

* Starks: Very encouraged by James Starks work this week. He looks like he's ready to go. He may have some opportunities this week. I thought James, the last two weeks, has looked like his old self.

* Neal: We limited Mike just because of the plan was to work him yesterday, see how he responded today. The response was good, giving him the full 48 hours to recover before the game. I feel good about Mike.

* This week's preparation: I think the energy has been outstanding, they've really cranked up the sense of urgency to win this football. Practice hasn't been as clean, but for the most part it's been a good week.

* Finley getting back to that '09 performance vs. Ariz: I hope so. Actually showed him the highlights from that game a few weeks ago. He was a bigger man then. Just the way he caught the ball then, that was a good video for him to see. Confidence, technique. He was a big part in the offense's success in that game.
