The Green Bay Packers are hitting the critical stretch of their schedule with new injuries to their best defensive player and one of their top offensive linemen.

The Packers have their bye this week and then close their 2012 schedule with five of their last seven games against NFC North Division rivals plus a sixth game against one of the NFC's leading Super Bowl contenders, the New York Giants.

But for at least part of that stretch, the Packers could be missing outside linebacker Clay Matthews and right tackle Bryan Bulaga. ...
