Packers coach Mike McCarthy spoke to the media on Monday following his team's 31-17 win over Arizona on Sunday, giving them a 6-3 record entering the bye week. Here are some highlights from his news conference:
*Clay Matthews saw the doctors again today, so the early diagnosis is it may be a couple more weeks. We won't know more until we get further. Clay doesn't feel as bad as it did in the past.
*Bryan Bulaga, still gathering information on his injury.
*Jordy Nelson sprained his ankle. McCarthy thinks his going to be OK.
*Hopeful John Kuhn will be back for Detroit.
*Working on self scout today and Tuesday for Lions. Spent offseason getting ready for division games. You may use that information Weeks 1 through 4, but now you have nine weeks of information. Need to evaluate that.
*Frank Zombo would've been ready to play. He was practiced and prepared in a number of backup decisions to play.
*Nick Perry is in the process of going through a second opinion.
*Everybody improved in Packers' division during the offseason. Detroit is getting better, look for them to improve. Chicago had injuries last year and are staying healthy.
*If you look at play, a little bit of an awkward pull when Matthews had the quarterback. Bryan Bulaga's injury is an awkward situation. Gained his balance, but might have been better off falling to the ground.
*Options on Andrew Quarless. Came from meeting with Ted Thompson. Quarless won't leave town for another day. Looking at IR option on Sherrod.
