The surgery that ended Green Bay Packers outside linebacker Nick Perry's season was to repair a ligament injury in his left wrist, an NFL source said.

Perry had the surgery Tuesday at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., where he had sought a second opinion, and was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.

To fill Perry's spot on the roster, the Packers activated tight end Andrew Quarless off the physically unable to perform list. ...
