Wednesday practice report: Shields looks limited

Nov. 14, 2012

Packers cornerback Sam Shields is back, but the question is how back is he?

After missing the last three games with shin and ankle injuries, it remains to be seen what role Shields will have if he plays Sunday at Detroit.

Before his injury against Houston, Shield started five straight games at cornerback.

Since his injury, the Packers have used rookie cornerback Casey Hayward as their starter in the base. When he moves inside in the sub packages, Davon House played cornerback.

The Packers had only four players completely out of practice today. They were:

S Charles Woodson (collarbone)
OLB Clay Matthews (hamstring)
WR Greg Jennings (abdomen)
DE Mike Neal (unknown)

We'll have the full injury report and comments from coach Mike McCarthy short after 1 p.m.
