Trial for Door Co. murder suspect rescheduled

The trial for a Plainfield, Ill., man accused of the Aug. 19 murder of a woman and her unborn child in Door County has been rescheduled for April 8.

Brian M. Cooper, 35, is charged with two counts of first-degree intentional homicide in the deaths of Alisha N. Bromfield, also of Plainfield, and her unborn daughter, who she planned to call Ava.

Bromfield was approximately 6 months pregnant at the time of her death. ...
