Morning roundup: Is tackle Packers' biggest draft need in 2013?

Nov. 16, 2012

It's never too early to begin assessing the Packers' draft needs for 2013. Pete Dougherty looks up and down the Packers' roster and comes up with a position by position view of where their greatest needs are. (http://tinyurl.com/cjtpe64)

Dougherty writes: "So here we are, not two years removed from back-to-back drafts (2010 and ’11) in which Ted Thompson selected tackles in the first round, and that position again has to rank among the Packers’ highest draft priorities for next year. There’s a premium on protecting their franchise, i.e. quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and enough reason for concern for Derek Sherrod’s and Bryan Bulaga’s futures (due to injuries) that Thompson could be compelled to protect the team by drafting a tackle with a high pick, even a first-rounder, in 2013.
